In order for the Buxton Little League to have a successfull 2012 season,
we need help from the friends and families of our little leaguers. Our
committee is strong, but not strong enough to do it all!
All volunteers are required to
complete our
Volunteer Application and provide a photocopy of your driver's
license (color copies are not allowed). These forms are destroyed
immediately following the Little League Season and are kept in a safe
location throughout the season. If you have concerns, please contact
Paul Milliken.
Concessions Information:
Ever wanted to know what it meant to work in the Concessions stand? It's
a matter of taking orders for food or drink, taking money/making change
and completing the order. We would like to have a maximum of three and a
minimum of two people in the concessions (one for each position). If you
are more comfortable with one over the other, just say so.
Instructions for opening and
closing the concessions can be found here.
Timing for concessions assistance would be Friday nights and Saturday
afternoons/evenings. We are hoping to get enough help for one hour
shifts but we may require two hours. No children under age 12 allowed in
the concessions booth (this means everyone!) and you are NOT required to
work concessions while your child is playing their game. We want parents
to enjoy watching their children and not worrying about working.
Team Assistance Information:
Our coaching positions are filled, however they will need assistance in
the forms of assistant coaches, team parents, scorekeepers
and umpires. Feel free to ask what type of help they need for the season
and please note -
you are not allowed onto the playing field unless
you have completed a volunteer form and provided a copy of your drivers
license. These are official League Rules and Buxton Little League
will be enforcing them.
